Travelling is unique, in that it can be one of the most relaxing things we do, and at times, one of the most stressful. For some, it’s a walk in the park, from packing, to queuing & boarding the plane, for others, it’s a whirlwind of wild panic, as we scramble to fit the last pair of shoes which we vehemently believe are essential, all while bending ourselves into positions which would put a yoga master to shame, as we endeavor to zip-up our overflowing suitcases.
The trick to a calm trip, is a suitcase which is packed well, and here are some tips from us on how to do that…
Ever gone shopping without a list of essentials in mind? Recipe for disaster, right? The same goes with packing. Make a list of essential items you need before packing as not to clutter your suitcase, and to avoid forgetting any truly essential items.
Once you have compiled your list, lay everything out neatly on your bed or floor. This will give you a solid overview, and make it easier to eliminate otherwise unnecessary items.
Having trouble fitting everything into your case? Use some different techniques, like rolling your shirts up, to maximize space.
Use your hollow items like shoes/toiletry bags to store small things like your socks, belts & underwear. Store your chargers and various other wires in your sunglass case… You’ll never forget where you put them!
Try your best to wear items of clothing, like coats, large shoes and jeans, which take up a lot of space in your bag, as this will not only ensure you look stylish on your travels, but it will save valuable space in your suitcase for all your other clothing and confectionaries from your various travel locations.
